William Fletcher Project
The aim of the project is to catalogue the paintings and other art works produced by William Fletcher, better known Bill. He mainly produced watercolour paintings of Cumberland fells, lakes and the sand dunes along the coast but also produced etchings, oil paintings and sculptures.
Bill was my grandfather and I have inherited a few of his paintings over the years but have also seen some of his painting have been sold at Auction recently. I thought that this site could be used as a resource for those wanting to find out more about W Fletcher, and would act as a data base and possibly in the future and a point where paintings could be bought and sold. The first aim is just to find his paintings and if permission is granted to add a photograph to the site and data base.
